Fell asleep." daily retrospectives that are unfit even for a paper diary. 2) Extraordinarily witty observations on the nature of life, of self, of science, and of the world by tenured members of the chattering classes who feel unfit to share their precious thoughts with the unfriendable "rabble". 3) Endless parroted "What color are you? What type of tree are you? What Full Metal Alchemist character are you? What planet are you?" memes. 4) Pieces of stolen furotica displayed alongside disturbingly intricately detailed personal advertisements of the "David Bowie-style equal-opportunity bisexual red fox with ice cube, rough scratching, and tongue-to-ear fetishes seeks skinny, sleek homosexual colfox for a strictly yiffy relationship" kind.* My journal is none of those things. It's just me talking to the people I know, no different than how I am in real life. Friend me and I will friend you right back. [*Interested colfoxes: Send me an LJ message!] {{About Me}} Two and a half years ago, I was an intelligent design and reparative therapy advocate attending Patrick Henry College as a court debater with the intent of becoming a laywer for the George W. Bush Administration. I've changed my mind on a wide variety of things, but, still, my interest in all things furry came completely out of left field. It was a "Do you want some ecstasy on your cornflakes?" kind of moment. I kept my interest in the fandom semi-repressed for about nine or so months until mid-December, when I started reading LJs. I've thought up a fursona-- a character, background, and a name-- but a significant handicap is my complete lack of any artistic skills whatsoever. I would really, really, really, really like to attend a furry convention... But... I have a particulary mild agoraphobia that, while merely being slightly annoying in everyday life, will probably be an issue when I am around several hundred people in an enclosed area with no visible exits. Sweet home Chicago. {{Weaknesses/Dislikes}} Spelling Nazis, objectivists, sarcasm, people who use air quotes, anti-theists, people who use the term 'n00b', grudge holding David Lee Roth fans (God help me, I even liked their Gary Cherone stuff), meat that's not cooked well-done, all physical sports, wearing hats, all vegetables with the singular exceptions of corn and peas, troofers, people who think 'fanboy' is an insult, Chicago White Sox fans, toast that's still white, people who think it's art if you just hang it on the wall, Wikipedians, people who don't love the 80s, Christian fundamentalists, mosquitoes (they activily seek me out wherever I go), grunge music, fires (I have a Frankenstein-like aversion to it), most county music, Paulbots, people who think Islam is inherently violent, creationists, people who think Dane Cook isn't funny, New York Yankees fans, people who don't recycle, Dilbert, and people who consider talking to yourself 'weird' or 'crazy' (the Dean of the English Department at my University does it).
